在科技互联网领域，不懂代码却成就了阿里巴巴商业帝国的马云还有谁？低调内向的产品经理收入比马化腾还高除了张小龙还有谁？ 当然是苹果的现任零售副总裁安吉拉·阿伦茨(Angela Ahrendts)，那么她到底有什么牛逼之处？ 

在以男性为主导的科技高管领域，有一位“不懂科技”的女人，年薪高达2420万美元，折合人民币1.5亿，比苹果CEO蒂姆·库克收入（1239万美元）还要高，而且还要成为苹果的接班人安吉拉从一个农村的中学毕业，1982年毕业于鲍尔州立大学市场行销系，美国排名第93名，一个普通得不能再普通的大学，在Burberry任职8年以后，从一个时尚品牌的CEO转战科技圈最知名公司。

今天英语演讲君想通过《Fortune》杂志的一个专访让大家更进一步了解一下这位商业女强人！Apple’s retail chief Angela Ahrendts has spent the past two years revamping the technology company’s retail stores, where it sells iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Watches. That’s no small business—there are nearly 500 Apple stores worldwide, and retail sales are responsible for some 18% of the company’s $233.7 billion in sales, amounting to $42 billion in yearly revenue.

But Ahrendts views the company’s newly redesigned retail outlets not just as stores, but as the company’s next big products, she explained at the Fortune Most Powerful Women conference in Laguna Niguel on Monday night, in her first public interview about Apple’s retail redesign. In fact, she and Apple view their stores as potential town squares within each of the cities they reside.

“The store is now the biggest product we produce and we have five new features [these include iPads, iPhones, Watches, Macbooks and Apple TVs.]. Accessories are avenues, and the huge digital screen in each store is the forum,” Ahrendts said.

By the end of 2016, 95 stores will be fully redesigned with this vision, the first of which were the San Francisco Union Square location and the London Regent Street outpost. The community aspect to each store is key, Ahrendts said, with these town squares serving as educational centers. For example, next year, Apple stores will soon hold coding classes for children in Apple’s programming language, Swift.

The new stores have also been holding what she calls “Teacher Tuesdays,” to help educate teachers on how to incorporate technology into their classrooms.

There’s a new team employed in the stores, called creative pros, who are solely available to teach customers skills such as how to take better pictures with their iPhone’s camera or how to use photography apps. They also help with downloading Apple Music, gaming and art apps. This group of employees is similar to those who run the newly redesigned Genius Grove, which is a customer service stand that fixes and troubleshoots Apple products.

Within Apple, Ahrendts added, the company no longer refers to the retail outlets as stores. Apple’s flagship San Francisco store is now known as Apple Union Square. Ahrendts’ own title at the company has changed: she’s now the senior vice president of Apple retail, compared to the previous title of “senior vice president of retail and online stores.”

Ahrendts also recalled how she was originally hired by Apple CEO Tim Cook, who approached her while she was chief executive of British fashion empire Burberry.

Cook was persistent, she explained, and during one of her trips to the U.S. for the Christmas holidays, she flew out to Cupertino to meet him. “I told him, ‘I’m not a techie,” said Ahrendts. “And he said, ‘I think we have 10,000 of those, you are supposed to be here.”

Ahrendts and Cook continued to talk, and she proposed that instead of her position only being in charge of retail, it would also include merging the retail business with online stores and integrating them to play a much bigger role in the communities of the cities where they operated. Cook was on board, and the seed was planted for Apple’s new retail vision, helmed by Ahrendts.

“Companies have a huge obligation right now, and the bigger the company, the bigger the obligation,” Ahrendts said. “We are thinking about what the community needs.”

在楼下狭窄的几平米空间里，一盏小灯，一个木架点燃的蜡烛勉强提取的蜡油，就是她发挥创造力的全部不过即便条件如此艰苦，在自制服装方面的想象力，还是让她在小镇中远近闻名，不少人都专程跑到她家里，只为看一眼她简陋的“工作室。

”

及至1982年，将从鲍尔州立大学毕业的她，期末考试完第二天，就买了一张单程票，单枪匹马闯荡纽约Ahrendts发表毕业典礼演讲2敢想敢做，能屈能伸，做事从不拖泥带水初入纽约，Ahrendts那些天马行空的想法，。

遭到多家公司的无情讽刺与打压，最终一家胸罩制造商Warnaco勉强“收留”了她。

然而很快她就在时尚界  展露出自己的非凡才华。每进入一家公司，她都能“捧红”一家公司。调整团队，优化架构，产品升级，品牌重塑等工作Ahrendts从艰难的“打怪升级”到最后做到游刃有余。

DKNY、Henri BendelLiz Claiborne等时尚品牌无不如此，公司业绩成倍增长的同时，Ahrendts也一步步从无名小卒，成长为执行副总裁，总裁。

2006年，全球奢侈品行业风起云涌，然而Burberry这家老牌贵族品牌，却深陷泥潭不能自拔。

产品缺乏持续的创新、想象，营销策略乏善可陈，在行业形势大好的环境下，品牌年增长额只有可怜的2%，而此时竞品LV的收入几乎是Burberry的12倍。

情急之下，Burberry甚至开始操刀更改品牌Logo。

彼时Burberry的CEORose Marie Bravo找到Ahrendts“软磨硬泡”希望她可以继任  Burberry的CEO。

事实证明，这一选择正确无比，短短几年，Ahrendts就带领Burberry重回巅峰。

上任后，Ahrendts做的第一件事  就是关闭35个产品类别，因为这其中很多都采用“授权”模式，品牌的过度许可，导致自身价值大大削弱。

Ahrendts一针见血的改革，让不少对其持怀疑态度的人，都双双竖起大拇指。此外Ahrendts还敏锐观察到全世界60%的消费者均为30岁以下的年轻人，而他们正是互联网时代的原住民。

Ahrendts马上调整营销策略，更新店内技术并转战电子商务，自己熟悉网络营销工具的同时，鼓励员工每天花30%的工作时间，用在Facebook等社交软件上事实上，这30%的尝试，取得了不止300%的效果。

当年Burberry在YouTube上，一个360度全景拍摄的模特视频，获得130000次观看。与此同时，脸书和推特的粉丝也成倍激增。

小成本赢得大关注，这几乎是每个品牌梦寐以求的事然而Ahrendts却并不满意于此，她知道Burberry彼时最大的问题：在于产品力太弱于是她马不停蹄找到叛逆的潮人设计师：Christopher Bailey。

两人彼此间天马行空的想象力彻底被激活，成为设计界的最佳CP。

默契十足地合作8年，Burberry的业绩如同坐了火箭。

在修好内功的同时，Ahrendts还特别注重“外交”主动同苹果、谷歌等硅谷巨头建立良好的合作关系。

iPhone 5s发布后，Burberry特意用其录制伦敦时装发布会从当时公司病入膏肓，到Burberry股票升值250%年利润超30亿美金，堪称奇迹！

水涨船高，早在2013年Ahrendts就成为英国收入最高CEO，年入2630万美元。

因为拯救英国企业于水火之中，她还获得“大英帝国最优秀勋章”。

2013年苹果相中了这位穿Burberry的传奇女子，想聘任她为苹果零售高级副总裁此举一出，引发业界广泛怀疑与争论，毕竟苹果先前从未出现过这一级别的女性高管连Ahrendts与库克第一次见面，都坦诚说道：“我是个念旧的人，对在Burberry的工作非常满意，况且我也不懂技术。

”

不曾想库克只是冷静地点点头回应：“我们已经有上万名工程师了，你只需要做自己。”

从时尚跨界到一家高科技公司，Ahrendts没有像之前那样，迅速大刀阔斧地对公司做出调整，而是在长达16个月的时间，一直沉寂、学习和聆听。

在沉寂了16个月之后，她的爆发力和对苹果的细致洞察，着实惊人。

首先改进苹果的销售方式，让苹果店成为任何人都可进入玩耍的友好场所。

“苹果的门店，绝不只是售卖产品和服务的地方，它是新的社区中心和社交场所。如果哪天你和朋友交谈中提起：我们今天在苹果店见面，听说那里有个活动，那我们就成功了。”

音乐、艺术、设计等等，都可以在苹果体验店出现，唯独要弱化的，就是“卖东西”这一属性。

三流企业卖产品，二流企业卖品牌，一流企业做文化。或许苹果相中Ahrendts正是欣赏她与生俱来的友好与包容。

她能以柔和的方式将苹果的文化与价值观，带给员工，带给顾客，这种无形的品质和影响力，千金难寻。

而无形中，苹果在业界的影响力越来越强，无人撼动去年苹果零售店进店人数高达5亿次，在线销售增长率超4成而在众多手机厂商疯狂追赶、围剿，线上线下双重冲击的情况下，苹果还能实现两位数的高增长，Ahrendts功不可没。

3Burberry很重要  苹果很重要。但并不比我的丈夫更重要，并不比我的孩子更重要。

虽然Ahrendts称得上是“全球第一女高管”，但在她的心中，不论何时家庭都是第一位Ahrendts跟丈夫Gregg在小学相识，如今已相伴走过40年，为了照顾老婆，他忍痛卖掉自己的公司，搬到纽约，照顾妻子和三个孩子的饮食起居。

没有丝毫的抱怨，专心研究烹饪美食，一切都心甘情愿，乐在其中。两人巨大的差异，没有让他们渐行渐远，反而感情愈发甜蜜。

为了陪伴家人，Ahrendts经常拒绝各类邀请，甚至别人梦寐以求的  奥斯卡颁奖典礼邀请，她都礼貌拒绝。“因为家庭更重要。”

Ahrendts和两个女儿在对孩子的教育上，Ahrendts也赢得一片赞赏。“这世上只有一种成功，就是以自己喜欢的方式过一生。”她从不硬性要求孩子做什么，将来成为什么样的人，而是任其兴趣自由发展。

Don’t let anyone persuade you to do anything that doesn’t feel natural or isn’t aligned with your values or God-given gifts. You know what excites you more than anyone else. 

你们都很清楚自己有多幸运，你们与生俱来的很多美好的天赋并不是每个孩子都有的所以，一定、一定要坚持做你们喜欢且又符合自己天赋的事情伟大的运动员、音乐家、科学家等等，他们都是有自己的专长，聚焦专长、做到完美。

不要听信劝说，去做你们觉得不顺意或与你们的价值观、天赋兴趣不相符的事只有你们自己知道做什么最让自己开心The sooner you recognize your passions, and the more you focus, the happier you will be and the greater success you will achieve. Still, don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what your lane is yet. The path will illuminate itself so long as you stay present, open to the signs, and follow your passions. It’s all related.

你们越是早日认识到自己的热爱所在，且越是专注于此，越是感到快乐，越是能取得更大的成功！不过，即使还没有发现自己的热爱所在，也不要担心只要你足够留心周围事物，一切会自然闪现，那时你只需听从内心因为，一切皆有联系。

Lastly, my loves, never back up more than you need to, and this means in life, not just when driving. Just as you are blind to what’s behind you while backing up a car, if you keep looking back in life and focusing too much on the past, you may find yourself running things over and over in your mind,often seeing or creating things that never existed in the first place. Even worse, living in reverse blinds you to what lies ahead: Your lifelong dreams waiting to be achieved, your destiny waiting to be fulfilled.

最后一点，孩子们，不管是开车的时候，还是在人生中，都不要“倒车”过头就好像倒车的时候后方总是有盲区，如果你总是回头看人生，老想着过去发生的事，你就会发现自己脑海中总一遍又一遍地想着一些事情，你所看见的、听见的，其实原本就不存在。
