1. 后接表示时间点的词或者词组，仅仅表示行为或者状态的起始点，而不涉及其持续时间的长短表示时间“从……开始”，“始于”from…to… 从……到……from 2:00 to 7:00 从两点到七点from morning till night 从早到晚

2. 表示地点“从……”from Xian to Tianjin 从西安到天津choose sth. from 从……中选择某物She chose a few books from the shelf yesterday morning.

3. 表示“离……”be far from sth. 离……远The railway station is far from here．火车站离这里很远My home is far from the bus stop.。

我家离公共汽车站很远。

4. 表示“来自……”“从……来”be from+地点come from+地点be from+sb. 是某人送的、寄的He comes from China. /He is from China.他来自中国。

The grammar book is from my uncle.这本语法书是我叔叔送的。The letter is from my pen pal.这封信是我的笔友寄来的。

be different from 与……不同from now on 从现在开始from then on 从那时起be absent from 缺席，不在be tired from sth.因为……而疲劳，劳累

be made from sth. 由……制成（看不出原材料）judging from sth. 从……判断be away from 离开……
