在英文口语表达或是写作上，很常见学生们even当副词用时放错位置，even though 跟but 连用或著搞不清楚even though 跟even if到底差别在哪里你如果不确定even当副词的时候到底怎么用，就继续看这篇副词even的使用说明吧!。

Even用法通常我们会用副词even来强调某件事情出乎意料之外，不太寻常或者很极端的行为跟中文“甚至”，“就连”，“即使”的意思相近跟英文副词yet和still有相似的意思Even的用法和意思有很多种，而它在句子的位置也会因为表达意思的不同而所有差异，以下为大家列举Even的5大意思及用法﹕。

1. even + 一般动词The owner of this company lives humbly and he even eats his lunch with his employees at the company cafeteria. 

这家公司老板真没架子，他就连午餐都跟他的公司员工在公司餐厅一起吃从例句就可以看到even要放在一般动词(eat)的前面，很多人会把even放错位置喔! 例如:(X) The owner of this company lives humbly and he eats even his lunch with his employees at the company cafeteria.。

2. Be动词 + evenThere’s almost an app for everything nowadays. There is even an app which claims to translate baby’s cries. 

现在几乎什么APP都有甚至有个APP声称能够翻译宝宝的哭声在有be动词的句子里，even要放在be动词(is)的后面，很多人会跟上一个用法搞混:(X) There’s almost an app for everything nowadays. There even is an app which claims to translate baby’s cries.。

3. 助动词 + even I was very ill last weekend. I couldn’t even get out of bed by myself. 我上周末非常不舒服我甚至无法自己起床。

在有助动词的句子里，even要放在助动词(couldn’t)的后面，下面的用法是很常见的错误:(X) I was very ill last weekend. I even couldn’t get out of bed by myself.

4. even/ not even + 想强调的特定人事物Even a worm will turn.狗急是会跳墙的这句英文谚语用小虫(worm)来比喻弱者，强调即使是弱者如果被逼急了也是会反抗的，跟中文成语“狗急跳牆”的意思相近。

所以想要强调句子中特定的人事物时可以把even放在前头加强语气“I don’t have time to take a break.” “Not even at weekends?” “我没时间休息” “就连周末也没时间休息?”。

强调否定就在even前加上not，位置一样放在想要强调的人事物前5. even + 比较级形容词/副词当even用来强调比较时: 通常我们想要强调描述的人事物，我们通常会用副词even加上比较级的形容词或者是副词。

跟中文“甚至更”，“更加”的意思相近例如﹕Last summer was hot, but this summer could be even hotter. 去年夏天很炎热，但今年夏天甚至可能会更热(比较去年跟今年夏天的炎热程度。

)6. even + 想补充的具体详细描述 (写作时的用法)当even用来补充更准确或更详细的说法时: 通常我们想要更详细跟具体的描述某人事物，我们通常会用副词even加上想要补充细节的描述字眼跟中文“甚至可以说”，“更具体地来说”的意思相近，例如﹕。

The restaurant owner was very friendly to us, even generous. All our drinks were on the house. 餐厅老板服务态度很好，甚至可以说很慷慨。

我们点的饮料都免费招待7. even放在句子或者子句句尾 (聊天时，口语的用法)The restaurant owner was very friendly to us, generous even. All our drinks were on the house.

Even though 用法当even 和 though连用，通常用来强调某件出乎意料的事实跟although, in spite of the fact that’有相近的意思但even though比although更加强了强调的语气。

位置及用法﹕even though + 主词+动词Even though she is pretty busy at work, she still manages to have an English class every week.

即使她平时工作非常忙碌，但她还是能够每周抽空上一堂英文课 她工作忙碌本身就是事实，但却出乎意料地能够抽空每周固定学习学习精神令人惊叹要注意的是用了even though，就不要在后面的子句加but! 因为even though 本身就是连接词组用来连结两个子句。

也不能用even直接加主词跟动词下面这常见错误要小心:(X) Even though she is pretty busy at work, but she still manages to have an English class every week. (用了even though，就不要在后面的子句加but)

(X) Even she is pretty busy at work, she still manages to have an English class every week. (不能用even直接加主词跟动词，要用even though)  

Even though 跟 even if 的意思完全不同请比较上下两个例句Even if 用法当even 和 if 连用，通常藉由假想情况，或者是虚拟的情境来强调事情结果还是相同位置及用法﹕even if + 主词+动词。

Even if she is pretty busy at work, I think she’ll still manage to have an English class every week.就算她工作再怎么忙，我想她还是会想办法每周抽空上一堂英文课。

在这个例句中，很明显的看出这是假想的情境，强调不管她工作忙碌程度如何，我还是相信她每周都会上一堂英文课的相同结果但这不一定是真实的状况，这只是我的猜想要注意不能用even直接加主词跟动词(X) Even she is pretty busy at work, I think she’ll still manage to have an English class every week. (不能用even直接加主词跟动词，要用even if)。

看完even当副词的使用说明之后，来做个练习看看自己到底了解多少吧!练习一: 大家来找茬，以下句子even的位置正确吗?1.I even don’t know where we are now.2.He always wears shorts,

even in cold weather.3.It’s a great book if you’re interested in designing learning games. There even

is a website on practicing the learning points in each chapter by playing games.4.The creator of a biodegradable bag dissolved the bag in a glass of water and

even he drank it to prove it’s natural.练习二: 是even though还是even if?1._________ she didn’t have a college degree, she runs a successful catering company. 

2.The train leaves in five minutes. We won’t catch it now _________ we run. 3.It’s too dangerous to swim in this river, ________ you’re an experienced swimmer.

4._________ he doesn’t cook, he bought a kitchen machine.不确定答案是甚么吗? 那就看以下解析吧！练习一答案解析: 1.不正确，even 应该放在助动词(don’t)后面。

正确语序: I don’t even know where we are now.2.正确，even放在想要强调的人事物(in cold weather)之前He always wears shorts, even in cold weather.。

3.不正确，even 应该放在be动词(is)后面正确语序: There is even a website on practicing the learning points in each chapter by playing games.。

4不正确，even 应该放在一般动词(drank)前面正确语序:….and he even drank it to prove it’s natural.练习二答案解析: 1.Even though she didn’t finish college, she runs a successful catering company. 她没有完成大学学业是事实，但出乎意料的是她居然经营一间很成功的外烩公司。

所以选择even though来强调出乎意料的事实   2.The train leaves in five minutes. We won’t catch it now even if we run. 火车再过五分钟就要开了。

这情况下就算我们跑得再快，也不可能赶得上但这是假想的情境，而不是事实，所以要选择even if3.It’s too dangerous to swim in this river, even if you’re a world-class swimmer. 就算你是世界级泳降，在这条河里游泳就是太危险。

这句是为了强调不管是谁，下去这条河游泳都很危险，结果都是一样，所以要选even if4.Even though he doesn’t cook, he bought a kitchen machine. 虽然他平时不下厨，但他却买了一台食物料理机。
