篮球女子新星的诞生是因为个人天赋？还是大环境造就？或是偶然的契机？本期让我们跟着伊丽莎白·丽兹·坎贝奇走近她自己，走近澳大利亚女篮期望所写得能对热爱篮球的你们有所启发，对国内女子篮球大家庭有所借鉴The birth of a womens basketball star is due to personal talent, or the basketball community, or just a chance that comes up accidentally? In the first edition of 2020 Tokyo Olympics Women’s Basketball series, let us follow

Elizabeth "Liz" CAMBAGE to get to know her, and Team Australia. I hope this article can be used for inspiration for women like you who are full of passion for basketball and reference for the female basketball in the country.

01人物篇 | 坎贝奇 Cambage提到坎贝奇，大多数人津津乐道的一定是她在2012年伦敦奥运会小组赛70-66战胜俄罗斯队的那一记扣篮普遍相信这是女篮历史上第一位在奥运赛场上扣篮的女子运动员坎贝奇也助澳大利亚在该届奥运会上摘得铜牌。

作为预热，先来领略下这一记扣篮吧！When it comes to Cambage, most people must be relished by Cambages performance, who successfully dunked the basketball with one hand in a 70-66 victory over team Russia. It was generally believed  to be

the first successful dunk by a female basketball athlete to take place during the Olympic Games. Cambage helped team Australia to win a bronze medal in London. As a warm-up, lets review the dunk first!

忍不住再分享一份坎贝奇在2019-2020赛季WCBA联赛反击运球过半场单手轻松扣篮的动图嘻嘻，拿走不用客气~Here is another one of Cambages dunk in the 2019-2020 season at the WCBA,  on a transition, she had a behind-the-back dribble all the way across the mid-line, before dunking the ball with one hand!

● “看见” 坎贝奇 ／She is CAMBAGE／▼坎贝奇1991年8月18号在英国伦敦出生，爸爸是尼日利亚人，妈妈是澳大利亚人我很惊讶她竟然只大我一岁在只有三个月大时父母分开了，她跟着妈妈回到澳大利亚。

她10岁时就有182.88公分，在14岁时身高就达到了198.12公分小时候常常因为身高被同学们捉弄相比男孩，女孩童年发育得比较快我小学时也因为长得较高要排在队伍的最后面，课桌也要在教室后排虽然现在长大了好希望自己能再长高一些就可以去打中锋，但童年还是留下了小阴影。

182公分对于10岁的小女孩是生命不可承受之高，然因为妈妈的建议，坎贝奇为自己的身高找到展现的舞台，10岁时她开始了打篮球Cambage was born on 8 August 1991 in London to a Nigerian father, and Australian mother. I was surprised that she is only one year older than me when I first learnt about her. Her parents separated when Cambage was three months old, and she moved to Australia with her mother. At the age of ten she was 182.88cm tall, reaching 198.12cm by the time she was 14. She was teased about her height in school. As we all know, compared to boys, girls usually reach adolescence earlier. When I was in primary school, I had to stand at the end of the line, and sat at the back of the classroom because of my height (I was taller compared to most of my peers). Although now I deeply hope that I can grow a little taller to play center, this used to trouble me when I was young. Standing at 182cm at 10 became an everyday challenge for Cambage; however, she started playing basketball under her mother’s suggestion when she was 10, and therefore Cambage found a sense of belonging with basketball.

坎贝奇的篮球职业生涯于2007年开启那一年她16岁，登陆澳大利亚女篮职业联赛效力于丹德农游骑兵（Dandenong Rangers）队坎贝奇的美国女篮职业联赛开始于2011年，20岁的她参加了WNBA选秀，在第一轮第二顺位被塔尔萨震动（Tulsa Shock）队选中。

2012年6月，坎贝奇与浙江稠州篮球俱乐部签约开始了中国女篮职业联赛的旅程2018年2月坎贝奇签约WNBA达拉斯飞翼队，目前效力于WNBA拉斯维加斯王牌和WCBA山西兴瑞女篮2018年7月17号在与纽约自由人的比赛中坎贝奇创造了不可思议的WNBA得分记录-单场狂砍53分帮助达拉斯以104-87赢得比赛。

本场比赛坎贝奇出场37分钟，22投17中，三分5投4中，罚球16罚15中，10个篮板，2个助攻，1个抢断，5个盖帽目前她效力的球队是拉斯维加斯王牌队和山西竹叶青队，同时也是WNBA单场得分纪录的拥有者Cambage started her professional basketball career in 2007 when she was 16 years old. She played her junior basketball with Dandenong Rangers in the 

Womens National Basketball League (WNBL). Cambage started to play in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA）

in 2011. She participated in the WNBA draft when she was 20, and was selected by Tulsa Shock in second position of the first round. On June 2012, Cambage signed with Zhejiang Chouzhou Basketball club in China, which is the beginning of her journey in the

Womens Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). In February 2018, Cambage signed with Dallas Wings at the WNBA. Currently, she is with Las Vegas Aces at the WNBA, and Shanxi Flame at the WCBA.

On 17 July 2018, in a game against the New York Liberty, Cambage scored a WNBA record of 53 points to help her team，Dallas Wings, to win the game with 104-87. In this game Cambage played a total of 37 minutes, field goals 17/22, 3 pointers field goals 4/5, free throw 15/16, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal，5 blocks. Currently she plays for team Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA, and team Shanxi Flame in the WCBA, also she holds the WNBA single-game highest scoring record.

作为一名女子篮球运动员，坎贝奇的职业生涯像一曲高亢激昂的交响曲203公分和98公斤的身体素质奠定她篮下霸主的地位年少成名，辗转前行，从青涩到成长，篮球人坎贝奇依然在路上...As a womens professional basketball athlete, Cambage’s career is like symphony.  Standing at 203cm, and 98kgs established her dominant advantage under the basket. Her journey started early, through thick and thin, from an inexperienced amateur player, she slowly went through her basketball journey to where she is now. And we all know that Cambage is still on the road...。

●我眼中的坎贝奇 ／Cambage in my eyes／▼感性 Emotions可能我们往往听到的都是她的霸气活力，而我眼中的坎贝奇是感性的在刚结束不久的女篮奥运资格赛中，当澳大利亚队最终获得2020东京奥运会门票时，平日强悍的坎贝奇终于抑制不住地哭了。

她紧抓着门票席地坐在球场上她低头用双手捂住了脸哭着，而在队友们的安慰下她又终于含着泪绽放了笑容她们相互拥抱此刻的澳大利亚队是一支喜悦与感动的队伍坎贝奇曾说过，她最喜欢的事情是能和自己的队友们在一起打球，每天都保持进步。

虽然她还不尽完美，但是在努力做最好的自己Maybe her domineering and energetic character is well-known within the basketball family, but in my eyes, she is a person of emotions. In the Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament which just ended, the usual Cambage that we see on the court couldn’t help crying at the moment of finally winning the ticket to play in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. She clutched onto the ticket, and sat on the court. Then she turned her head, and covered her face with both hands unable to control her tears. However she had a blooming smile eventually with the comfort of her teammates. They hugged one another. It was a happy, and heart-warming moment for the team. Cambage once said, her favorite moment is when she is playing basketball with her teammates, and that they keep improving every day. Although she is not perfect, she is trying to be the best of herself.

作为她的球迷是幸福的，因为有难得的机会感受到她的温情场边她和球迷小女孩场边双手击掌的画面多么美好，在这位小女孩心目中，坎贝奇就是会对她笑的女超人I feel really happy to be her fan because I could feel her warm side as well. Cambage and a little girl clapping hands off the court, what a lovely scene. In the eyes of this little girl, Cambage is a superwoman smiling at her.。

领导力 Leadership 女性的美由什么定义呢?What defines the beauty of women?坎贝奇说很少会在澳大利亚的电视或者杂志上看到黑人女性的身影多元的文化一直都在倡导，但每一刻每一天我们在媒体上看到的都是刻板印象的女性形象。

2019年坎贝奇联合发起#ShowUs活动，号召世界上更多的女性无惧展现自己秀出自己的照片实际上生活中她也在身体力行下面和大家分享一些坎贝奇的封面照这些照片对我而言是一种鼓舞曾经的我心理上很抗拒用自己的照片做为微信头像，我也说不上为什么，也许因为我总觉得选的这一张自拍照还没有好到作为头像。

但我百分百确定的是，现在的我，如果有喜欢的照片我会有勇气设置为微信头像敢于秀出自己，我会视为我的心灵变得更强大了Cambage said she rarely see women of color on TV or in the magazines. Muti-culture is always promoted, but  every day, every  moment, we are bombarded with “images” of “stereotypical” beauty, and this is not diverse at all.  In 2019, Cambage promoted the #ShowUs movement to call on women all around the world to share their images online. Actually she also did it in her life.  I would like to share some cover shots of her. They are an inspiration to me. I used to be unwilling to use my own photo as my WeChat profile photo. I don’t know why, maybe it is because I always think the photo I had chosen is not good enough to be the profile photo.  But what I am sure of this moment is that I would be brave enough to use my picture as my profile photo if there is one I really like. Dare to show yourself, I take it as a persons internal strength growing stronger.

<>所以，永远不要去定义女性。So, never define a woman.

02球队篇 | Team有人会不禁好奇，什么样的篮球大环境孕育出坎贝奇这样一位杰出的女篮运动员？接下来让我们再多了解一些澳大利亚女篮，或许你会找到答案Someone may wonder what kind of a basketball community has developed such an outstanding womens basketball athlete?  Next let’s learn more about women’s basketball in Australia. Maybe you will find the answer.。

●澳大利亚队／Team Australia／▼澳大利亚女篮国家队绰号也叫Opals，名字源于澳大利亚流行的颜色亮丽的宝石2020年2月12日在本次刚结束的资格赛后，FIBA发布了世界女篮最新排名，澳大利亚队保持她世界第二的排名位置。

The Australian womens national basketball team has another name, the Opals, named after the brightly colored gemstone common to the country. After the OQT that just ended recently, FIBA released the world womens basketball ranking on February 12, 2020. The Australian womens basketball team maintained her position ranked second in the world.

（向上滑动启阅 Scroll up for more）发展史 History1950-60s: 起步阶段 Beginnings篮球在1905年传播到澳大利亚墨尔本，但澳大利亚女篮1957年才第一次参加在巴西FIBA世界锦标赛。

然而由于经验不足只获得第10名的成绩澳大利亚女篮此后开始推动国内篮球的普及Basketball arrived in Melbourne in 1905. The Opals qualified for the 1957 FIBA World Championships held in Brazil, but the inexperienced team ultimately finished at 10th place. 

Since then, the Opals have helped increase the popularity of the sport in Australia.1970s: 早期发展 Early development

1976年蒙特利尔奥运会第一次组办女子篮球比赛，然而澳大利亚队未获得参赛资格此后1979年韩国世界锦标赛让澳大利亚女篮初尝胜利的滋味最终力克日本女篮取得第四名，那次世界锦标赛是澳大利亚女篮最好的国际大赛成绩。

The 1976 Olympics held in Montreal marked the first Olympic medals awarded for women’s basketball, but Opals did not qualify for the tournament. Their next major competition would be the 1979 World Championships in South Korea, which they had their first success. The team defeated Japan to finish at fourth place, their best record on the international platform by that time.。

1980s: 参加奥运 Into the Olympics女篮奥运比赛早期只有6个参赛名额，而主办国就已自动占了一个1984年由于古巴退赛，澳大利亚意外获得首次参加奥运会的机会她们每一场比赛都拼得非常积极但最终只获得了第五名。

In the early days of women’s basketball at the Olympic Games, only six countries had the chance to take part, and competed, and the host country would have an automatic entry. Due to team Cuba dropping out at the 1984 Olympic Games held in Los Angeles, the door was  opened for the Opals to compete in their first ever Olympics. Although the Opals played competitively in every game, they ended up finishing fifth out of the six teams.

1990s: 崛起 Rise as an international force1996亚特兰大夏季奥运会，参赛球队增加到12支澳大利亚女篮66-56战胜乌克兰队取得铜牌，创造澳大利亚国家队第一次在国际大赛摘得奖牌的历史。

At the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, the Olympic Games for womens basketball was expanded to twelve teams. Team Australia got the bronze medal through defeating Team Ukraine with 66-56, which earned Australia its first ever international basketball medal.

2000s: 荣誉 A decade of medals and World Champions2000悉尼奥运会澳大利亚女篮作为东道主自动获得参赛资格，最终获得银牌，是当时澳大利亚国际大赛最好战绩此后在2004年雅典奥运会和2008北京奥运会，澳大利亚女篮强势发起对金牌得主美国女篮的冲击，但憾负摘得银牌。

2006巴西女篮世锦赛澳大利亚女篮91-74大胜俄罗斯女篮，取得澳大利亚女篮史上第一枚金牌With Sydney hosting the 2000 Olympic Games, the Opals gained automatic entry into the tournament. Australia won the silver medal, their best result on the world stage by the time. In the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, and Beijing in 2008, team Australia challenged team USA for the gold medals, however finished with two silver medals. 。

At the 2006  World Championships held in Brazil, the Opals led in the final game, and defeated team Russia with 91-74, which gave Australia her first ever basketball gold medal

.2010s: 新纪元 Ushering a new era2012年伦敦奥运会澳大利亚女篮将自己的第五块奥运奖牌纳入囊中坎贝奇也在该届奥运会成为奥运史上第一位扣篮的女子篮球运动员At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the Opals won their fifth consecutive Olympic medal to claim the bronze. Liz Cambage became the first woman in Olympic history to successfully dunk a basketball.。

● 澳大利亚女篮职业联赛／WNBL／▼

WNBL是澳大利亚著名的职业女篮联赛目前由8支队伍组成该联赛成立于1981年，和澳大利亚职业男篮联赛（NBL）并立The Womens National Basketball League (WNBL) is the pre-eminent professional womens basketball league in Australia. It is currently composed of eight teams. The league was founded in 1981, and is the womens counterpart to the National Basketball League (NBL).。

常规赛排名前四的队伍会进入WNBL季后赛，通常会在3月份进行常规赛排名第一和第二的队伍在季后赛第一轮与第三名和第四名的三场比赛中分别占有主场优势赢的队伍将进入冠军争夺赛得分最高的队伍享有主场优势，三场冠军争夺赛的最终胜利球队成为WNBL的冠军队伍。

The WNBL regular season typically commences at the beginning of October, and ends mid to end of February. During the regular season, each team plays 24 games, 12 home and away. Each team will play the other teams for at least 3 times, and some of the teams 4 times. The top four teams at the end of the regular season continues to the next round, which usually takes place in March. The teams finishing in the first and second at the regular season will have home advantage in their three-game first-round games against the teams finishing fourth, and third positions respectively. The winners of these games move on to the finals. With home advantage being given to the team with the highest points, the winner of the three-game final game series is becomes the WNBL champion.

2020 东京奥运会 Tokyo Olympics澳大利亚女篮在成立至今所获得的成绩来自每一位代表澳大利亚女篮出战的国家队运动团队以及支撑着这支顶级球队的所有人员，多方面的付出和支持给了篮球在这个国家的发展带来一定的基础和成长平台。

It has been a journey for team Australia since her beginning, with efforts and hard work by all members of the team, supported by many people involved in the process; which gives them the result they have achieved so far today.
