Teachers will send a meeting invite to all students within a Class Team to join a live meeting. This software is built on the Skype platform and as such will be familiar to most people. The invite will appear as a pop up in Teams and as an email in the students’ account.。

Staff will only make use of the video function for specific purposes such as demonstrating an Art technique live during a lesson. Students must not record any live meetings and must not invite any third parties to any live meetings. Content of any lesson is not to be shared outside of the SGIS community under GDPR regulations. Students must not post St George’s educational materials of any kind, on any social media platforms.

Class Notebooks are a version of Microsoft OneNote and are extensively used by teachers and students to provide learning resources, instruction and links. This is an invaluable resource that can supplement a textbook in many cases. Each student in the Class Team has their own pages in OneNote that they can use to make notes and share work. Only the class teacher and the named student can see an individual student’s pages.

OutlookOutlook is the Office 365 email app. Students in years 6 – 13 have a school email account. This is accessed using the same login and password as Office 365.

Most people will be familiar with the use of the Show My Homework App that teachers use to set and track homework. During Online Learning, teachers will primarily use Teams to set work, but may also use Show My Homework. Students and parents can access and check this in the usual way. Homework will continue to be posted on SMHW in the usual way, but students may be requested to upload this work to Assignments in Teams as discussed previously.

The students will login using a QR code which will be sent to parents. We would ask that parents keep this QR code confidential. Students are registered within their class when they login to the site https://seesaw.me using this QR code.

Reading, writing, exercise, art, sport, dance and practical tasks will all be used by teachers. Students may be asked to upload a photo of something they have made; record a short video or sound file; do some physical activity etc.
